2026 International Juried Exhibition

The Center for Contemporary Art invites submissions for its 2026 International Juried Exhibition, open to artists age 18 and older. The exhibition will run January 30 – March 29, 2026, and will consist of two- and three-dimensional work in all media. The juror is Donna Gustafson, a freelance curator, critic, and writer based in New Jersey with extensive curatorial experience including exhibitions at the Zimmerli Art Museum at Rutgers University, the Hunterdon Art Museum, and the American Federation of Arts.

Entry fee is $40 for up to three entries, or $30 for Members of The Center for Contemporary Art and Art Educators. Submission deadline is Thursday, November 13, 2025 at 11:59 p.m. MT. Artists should submit up to three JPG digital images (1200 pixels or greater on the longest side, 5 MB maximum) or up to three videos (MOV, MP4, WMV, 3GP, AVI, ASF, MPG, M2T, MKV, M2TS format, under 100 MB). A minimum of one work sample and maximum of three total samples are required. Artist notification will be sent by email on Wednesday, December 10, 2025.

Wall pieces must be wired for hanging and no larger than 36" X 36" (dimensions include framing and mounting). Free-standing pieces may not exceed 32" X 32" X 48" or weigh more than 75 lbs. Accepted work cannot be substituted and must be available for the duration of the exhibit. In-person delivery and receipt of shipped work is Tuesday, January 6 – Tuesday, January 13, 2026. The exhibition opening reception is Friday, January 30, 2026. Pre-paid artwork return and in-person pick-up is March 30 - April 5, 2026 during office hours.

Awards include a Special Exhibitions Committee Award (up to three artists selected for a solo exhibition at The Center in 2027), First Prize ($500), Second Prize ($250), and Third Prize ($100). All artwork is insured for its declared value from receipt through April 5, 2026. The Center receives a 40% commission on all exhibition sales. Artists are responsible for shipping costs and must include return postage. Please contact The Center with questions about shipping concerns before applying.
