2026 HIAA Invitational Exhibition

The Hawaiʻi Island Art Alliance (HIAA) and Hawaiʻi State Parks invite artists to submit work for the 2026 HIAA Invitational Art Exhibition. All media are welcomed in 2D, 3D, and digital formats. The exhibition will be held at Wailoa Center from January 16 to February 12, 2026, with an opening reception on January 16 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM.

Eligibility is open to invited artists. Artwork must not have been previously exhibited at Wailoa Center within the past 10 years. 2D works must not exceed 7 feet tall by 9 feet wide; 3D works must not exceed 10 feet tall or 6 feet wide. No reproductions or AI-generated or AI-assisted art will be accepted. Artwork with sensitive subject matter (nudity, offensive religious or political statements, violence) may be juried out due to the State Parks facility. All accepted work must be gallery quality and installation ready.

Submit 1 to 5 artwork samples through a CAFÉ portfolio. The entry fee is $40 per artist (non-refundable), with a maximum of five entries per artist. A maximum of three works per artist will be selected. A biography and artist statement (300 words maximum) are highly recommended. The submission deadline is December 3, 2025 at 11:59 PM HST. Artists will be notified of acceptance by December 5, 2025 at 5:00 PM HST. Accepted artwork drop-off is January 10, 2026 at Wailoa Center (10:00 AM to 1:00 PM) or January 9, 2026 at Kona Frame Shop Parking Lot (10:00 AM). Artwork pick-up is February 13, 2026.
