2026 Call for LPAPA Signature Members

LPAPA Signature Members are established professional artists recognized for their mastery of the en plein air tradition. This designation signifies superior craftsmanship and a unique ability to capture the essence of a scene on location. Signature status is awarded to a limited number of artists each year who achieve the highest scores through a rigorous jury process.

Signature Members enjoy exclusive opportunities including eligibility to submit work for the annual Signature Showcase at the LPAPA Gallery, priority consideration for "Featured Artist" spotlights in the gallery and on the LPAPA website, an expanded artist profile on the LPAPA website with administrative assistance, and opportunities to serve as an instructor or mentor for LPAPA programs including workshops, "Plein Talks," live-streamed demonstrations, and studio tours.

Submissions must include ten digital images: 8 plein air works (created on location) and 2 studio works, all labeled accordingly. A professional bio and CV must include plein air events participated in, awards received, and published recognition, with a link to your artist website. Images must be submitted as high-resolution JPEGs under 4 MB in sRGB colorspace, at least 1920 pixels on the longest side at 72 dpi. Entry fees are $45 for current LPAPA members and $75 for non-members. The submission deadline is June 8, 2026, at 11:59 PM. Notifications will be sent via email on June 22, 2026.
