2026 Boyne Arts Center: Return to Light

Boyne Arts Center in Boyne City, Michigan is accepting submissions for the juried art exhibition Return to Light. Artists residing in counties within a 100-mile radius of Boyne City, Michigan, who are at least 18 years old, are invited to submit up to 3 original works that engage the exhibition theme. After winter's dimness, artists interpret illumination—literal light, emotional brightness, clarity, awakening. Broad interpretations of the theme and experimental approaches are welcome. Works may use AI as a resource but must not be primarily AI-generated. References used by the artist must be original resources or used with permission. Submissions must be original works of art by the artist and cannot have been in a previous Boyne Arts Exhibit. The center welcomes painting, sculpture, photography, fiber, and more.

Sheila Ruen, former Visual Arts Director of Crooked Tree Arts Council, is the juror. Prizes include $500 for First Place, $250 for Second Place, and $100 for Third Place. The exhibition will run from April 10 to May 25, 2026, at the Boyne Arts Center. The opening reception and awards ceremony is April 10, 5-7 pm. Work delivery is April 1-6, noon-4 pm. Work pickup is May 26, noon-4 pm.

Entry fee is $35 for non-members or $25 for members (non-refundable). Submit 1-3 images of your work. The submission deadline is March 19, 2026 at 11:59 p.m. EDT. Jury notifications will be emailed March 27.
