2026 BMFA Juried Art Show

The 2026 BMFA Juried Art Show, now in its 46th year, highlights and promotes artistic excellence in the visual arts in South Georgian Bay. The show accepts submissions from both BMFA members and non-members who live in Ontario. Artists may submit work in all visual arts mediums except photography. This year, a Fine Craft category has been brought back for the BMFA's 50th Anniversary, allowing submissions in jewelry, beadwork, woodwork, textiles, pottery, and clay items. Awards are cash prizes in the following categories: Adult Fine Art, Adult Fine Craft, and Student 2D and 3D.

Submissions run from January 26, 2026 to March 6, 2026. The jurying process takes place March 8-22, 2026, with acceptance notifications sent March 24, 2026. Intake is April 10-11, 2026, and the show runs April 15 through June 13, 2026 at 65 Simcoe Street in Collingwood, Ontario. Adult and student receptions are scheduled for April 17 and April 19, 2026 respectively. Artwork pickup is June 13-14, 2026.

Artists may submit a maximum of 2 original works that have not been previously submitted to a BMFA Juried Art Show. The submission fee is $40 per entry; BMFA members receive a 25% discount ($30), and student entries are free. Digital art created 100% on computer or tablet is accepted; altered photographs and AI-generated work are not. 2D and digital art must not exceed 9 square feet and require D-ring hangers with finished edges. 3D and craft work must be free-standing, weigh less than 10 pounds, and be movable by a single person.
