About This Call
The LSC Arts Program seeks to bring the visual arts to all students at Colorado State University. The program's mission is to create an environment that welcomes emerging and nationally-renowned contemporary artists. For the 2026-27 exhibition season, the program is seeking thought-provoking work that is firmly rooted in contemporary practice. Work exploring issues of identity, community, current social phenomena, new material investigations, or traditional media in new contexts may receive special consideration. For this season's call, the program is specifically seeking artists based in the state of Colorado.
Eligibility is limited to artists who must reside in Colorado. The program is seeking solo exhibitions or curated two-person shows, and applicants may enter as a group. All media and all sizes are accepted. All work must be ready to install; installation work will be considered if the artist will travel to install. The entry fee is $20.00. Work samples should include a minimum of 15 and maximum of 20 total samples, which may consist of up to 20 images, 5 audio files, and 5 video files.
The LSC Arts Program will provide up to $300.00 in reimbursements for delivery of artworks to Colorado State University. Insurance during delivery is the responsibility of the artist; CSU insurance coverage begins after check-in and verification of safe arrival. CSU will pay for return shipping of artworks using the same shipping materials as delivery, with modifications made if necessary to ensure safe delivery. CSU will provide insurance for the return of artworks. Artists interested in visiting campus to discuss their work should include a proposal for what they would like to present, such as a workshop or artist talk. The LSC Arts Program does not broker sales; in the event of a sale opportunity, interested parties will be put directly in contact with the artist, who will retain 100% of the sale price.
