2025/2026 Creative Arts Grant Program

The City of Bothell's Creative Arts Grant Program supports innovative projects by artists and cultural arts organizations that showcase artistic and cultural diversity, community building, and an appreciation for the creative spirit through arts activities. All projects must end in a culminating event that is accessible to Bothell residents and visitors.

Grant awards range from $500 to $10,000, and projects must be completed by December 1, 2026. All grant recipients must produce a public benefit as a culminating event and submit a final report to secure awarded funds. Eligible applicants include individuals (independent artists), groups (neighborhood organizations, artistic and cultural organizations), and organizations without IRS 501(c)(3) status. You do not have to be a Bothell resident to apply, but your public event must benefit Bothell residents. A City of Bothell business license may be required.

Funded projects may include artistic performances (theatre, music, original readings, dance), improved arts and cultural opportunities for diverse communities, equipment for public benefit, educational and participatory opportunities for youth and seniors, increased access to arts and cultural events through free or discounted tickets, and temporary public art projects. Funding restrictions include public activities outside Bothell, projects without public benefit, private events, content opposing specific businesses or viewpoints, permanent public art projects, and cash awards or scholarships to individuals. Applications must be submitted electronically by 10:59 p.m. PST on August 4, 2025. Work samples should include 3-5 images, 0-3 audio files, and 0-1 video file (3-9 total samples). Panel review occurs August 11 - September 18, 2025, with applicants notified of final selections on September 22, 2025.
