2025 Thumb Area Artists Exhibition

The Romeo Guild of Art presents the 64th Annual Thumb Area Artists Exhibition, held August 28-September 26, 2025 at Starkweather Arts Center, 219 N Main Street, Romeo, MI 48065. A reception and awards presentation will be held Friday, September 5th from 6pm-8:30pm. The juror is Laura Whitesides Host, a Michigan artist and founding member of Lawrence St. Gallery in Ferndale.

Eligibility: Artists must be 18 years or older and reside in Genesee, Huron, Lapeer, Macomb, Oakland, Sanilac, St. Clair, Tuscola, or Wayne counties. Maximum 2 art entries per artist. All entries must be original work completed within the last three years and not previously exhibited in the Thumb Area Artists Exhibition. Acceptable media include oil, acrylic, watercolor, pastel, drawing, graphics, and sculpture (wood, metal, etc.). Fibers, photography, and AI/computer-generated art are not acceptable. Artwork may not exceed 40" in height, width, or depth (including frame). All entries must be for sale and priced with no price changes once accepted. Starkweather Arts Center will take a 30% commission on all artwork sales. Sold work must remain in place until the show ends.

Entry fee is $40 for non-RGA members, with a discount available for RGA members in good standing. Entry fees are non-refundable and payment does not guarantee acceptance. Applications are made through www.callforentry.org. Each entry must include a minimum of 1 image or video per piece (maximum 2 images and 2 videos total).
