2025 - The Face, The Figure

Las Laguna Art Gallery is seeking interpretations and depictions of the human face or figure. Both realistic and abstract work is encouraged. The medium for the work is open, with suggested mediums including acrylic, airbrush, alcohol ink, bronze, charcoal, collage, color pencil, computer art, digital art, digital photography, drawings, encaustic, fiber arts, glass art, graphite, gouache, illustration, mixed media, new media, oil, pastel, pen and ink, photo assemblage, printmaking, quilts, scratchboard, sculpture, traditional photography, video, watercolor, and others.

This is a combined in-gallery and online exhibition. All artists who submit will be accepted and have at least one of their submitted works exhibited on the gallery's website and client list. A select number of artists will be chosen to send their work to the gallery for the in-person exhibition at Hugo Rivera Gallery, the gallery's brick-and-mortar location in Laguna Beach, California.

Entry fee is $35.00 with an additional $2.00 per image. Submit 3-15 images. In-gallery submission deadline is June 14, 2025; online-only deadline is June 28, 2025. Notifications for in-gallery: June 16, 2025; online: June 30, 2025. Exhibition runs July 3-27, 2025, with artist reception on July 3, 2025. Commission split: 65% artist, 35% gallery. Open to all local, national, and international artists.
