About This Call
View Arts Center holds the annual "Quilts Unlimited" exhibition, open to all artists working in the fiber-based quilting medium. The exhibition runs October 4 - November 29, 2025, with an opening reception on October 4, 4-6pm. The 2025 Quilts Unlimited Lecture, Awards and Luncheon takes place October 5, 2025.
The exhibition is open to quilters working in Art, Bed, or Wall quilts. Bed and Wall Quilts require stitching through all three layers; Art Quilts require stitching through three layers. Kit quilts and hand-tied quilts are not eligible. All entries must include attribution to the pattern designer if applicable and must be personal work created within the past four years. Artwork previously shown at View is not eligible. Bed Quilts must measure at least 61"x61"; Wall Quilts must measure 60"x60" or less. Art Quilts must feature original design with innovative construction and design techniques, using primarily fabric materials.
Entry fee is $25 for non-members or $15 for View members, covering submission of one work. Additional submissions cost $10 each; artists may submit up to five images total for judging, though only up to two entries per quilter will be selected for the show. Submissions must be made through CaFÉ (callforentry.org). Selected artists will be notified by August 29, 2025, and work must be received by September 19, 2025. All work must be for sale or valued for insurance purposes. View retains a 35% commission on sales and will insure works for the duration of the exhibition. Selected quilts must include a 4" sleeve on the upper back and a cloth label with the quilter's name and quilt title on the back lower left corner. Shipping is at the artist's expense with a $10 handling fee per package. Pickup is December 1-2, 2025, or by appointment. The juror of awards is Susan Cortese, a NACQJ Certified Quilt Judge. For questions, contact Anna Brasted at [email protected] or 315-369-6411 x211.
