2025 Online Members' Exhibition

This is an online exhibition open to all Austin Pastel Society members who have paid their 2025–2026 dues. Entries must not have been previously exhibited in any prior APS exhibitions. All entries meeting the eligibility criteria will be included in the online virtual gallery and considered for awards.

Work must be minimum 80% soft pastel with no oil pastel allowed. All work presented must be original; compositions based on another artist's work or published materials are not eligible. Paintings executed in a workshop under another artist's supervision, based on another person's photograph, or created with optical projections or digital assistance are not eligible. Paintings must have been completed in the last two years. Representational, traditional, or abstract artworks are accepted, including figural nudes in good taste. The Exhibition Committee reserves the right to reject work deemed unsuitable for exhibition.

Entry fee is $30 per artist for up to two paintings. Award winners include Best in Show ($300) and 3 Awards of Excellence ($150 each). Because this is an online show, framing is not required except for winning artworks, which must be framed and delivered to Vaqueros Cafe for the ceremony. Requests for sales will be forwarded to the artist, who is solely responsible for sale and delivery. Prices cannot be changed once submitted, and APS receives no commission on sales.

Submit original, high-quality JPEG image files at least 1500 pixels on the longest edge with a maximum file size of 30 MB. Crop images to show only the artwork without matting, frames, or background. Ensure images are oriented correctly and use the sRGB color profile. Entry fees are not refundable and must be submitted and paid by the entry deadline of August 22, 2025.
