2025 Next Generation – University Art Competition

Honeywell Arts & Entertainment is calling for entries for the Next Generation: University Art Competition, a statewide juried competition for currently enrolled college students pursuing an Associate's, Bachelor's, or Master's Degree in fine art and/or craft at an accredited Indiana college or university. Students pursuing other degrees are welcome to apply but should consider the competitive nature of this call. Jurors will evaluate works based on artistic quality and merit regardless of degree path. Awards will be announced at the Closing Reception on January 21st at 6:30 pm. Attendance is encouraged but not required.

The exhibition will be held at the Clark Gallery, located in the Honeywell Center in Wabash, Indiana, from December 11, 2025 to January 21, 2026. The gallery hosts 10+ exhibits per year and receives over 170,000 visitors annually. Artists may submit up to 3 work samples (images and/or videos). Accepted work must be original, completed within three years of the entry deadline, and may not have been previously shown at the Clark Gallery. Submissions must not exceed 8.5 ft tall, 2 ft in depth, or 5 ft wide. Both 2-D and 3-D work are accepted; 3-D work must be displayable within gallery confines. All work must be appropriate for all ages with no nudity or adult content.

Artwork must arrive by December 8th via hand delivery or shipping. Hand delivery times are December 5th (5-8 pm), December 6th (11 am-2 pm), and December 8th (4-7 pm). Artists are responsible for all shipping costs and insurance. Shipped artwork must be in a reusable container with return shipping pre-paid. Work may be offered for sale or designated as not for sale; Honeywell Arts & Entertainment retains a 20% commission on sales. Awards include Best of Show ($175), First Place 2D and 3D ($150 each), Second Place 2D and 3D ($100 each), Third Place 2D and 3D ($85 each), and six honorable mentions. Artwork may be picked up on January 22nd from 9 am to 5 pm or after 7:30 pm on January 21st. Shipped artwork will be returned within one business week of the show closing.
