2025 National Watercolor Exhibition

The 2025 National Watercolor Exhibition is open to all artists living and working in the United States, both amateur and professional. The exhibition will be on view from August 1-September 27, 2025, in the Gladys and Karl T. Wiedemann Gallery at Mark Arts in Wichita, KS. Watercolorist Paul Jackson, AWS-DF, NWS, will serve as this year's exhibition juror. Mark Arts will award $3,000 in cash awards, including $1,500 for first place.

Only original paintings in water media on paper are acceptable. Each entry must be wholly designed and executed by the artist. No computer-generated images, prints, copies, or photolithographic artwork are eligible. You may not use AI to create reference material or any portion of your artwork. Collage elements must be less than 10% and comprised of water media on paper. Minimum image size is 8 x 10 inches. All artworks must be display-ready with display hardware included. Work must be created in the past two years and not previously exhibited in Wichita, KS. Each artist may enter up to four pieces. All artworks must be for sale.

Entry fee is $25.00 with an additional $5.00 media fee per image. Submit 1-4 images. Online registration closes May 30, 2025 at 11:59 p.m. CST. Mailed entries must be postmarked by May 23 and received by May 30. Award winners will be notified by June 13. Artwork must be shipped by July 11. The opening reception is August 1 from 5:00-7:00 p.m. Mark Arts publishes an illustrated catalog with all accepted entries and will mail a complimentary copy to each accepted artist at the conclusion of the exhibition.
