About This Call
The National Stereoscopic Association invites student photographers to submit work for the 2025 Student Photography Competition. Any student in any country may apply, with no age limit, credit requirement, or degree-seeking requirement. Students may be part-time or full-time.
Entries will be juried by Jorge Daniel Torres de Veneciano and judged on three standard criteria: aesthetics, conceptual, and technical merit. Submissions should be side-by-side stereo images or anaglyphs. Entrants may submit between 4 and 12 total work samples, including 1-8 images and 0-4 videos. Up to 2 applications are allowed per entrant. The entry deadline is July 15, 2025 at 11:59 p.m. MDT. Jury selection will take place July 15-22, 2025, and artists will be notified by July 18 of their inclusion in the digital exhibition via email.
Winning work will be displayed on screen or in print at the National Stereoscopic Association Conference in Minneapolis, MN, August 3-11, 2025. Winners of awards will be announced at the Annual NSA Conference in early August. Three works are eligible for awards of $300, $200, and $100. All entrants receive free registration to the 3-D Con Conference (students should register in person at the event and bring student ID). A how-to fact sheet for stereo photography is available at https://tinyurl.com/mr2nkf64. For technical problems or questions, contact [email protected].
