2025 Missouri Southern State University Alumni Exhibition

The Missouri Southern State University Department of Art & Design invites MSSU alumni to submit artwork for a juried exhibition in the newly-rededicated Cragin Gallery (formerly Spiva Gallery). The exhibition will feature recent creative works of MSSU alumni while celebrating their accomplishments since graduation. Artists holding any degree from any department on campus are encouraged to apply. The exhibition runs from March 31 - April 17, 2025, with a closing reception on April 17 from 6:00-7:30 pm.

Eligibility is open to all graduates of Missouri Southern State University regardless of major. Works must be original to the artist and must not have been previously exhibited at MSSU Cragin Gallery. All media will be considered. Artists may submit 1-6 images for a $10 entry fee. Works of art must fit through a standard 80" x 36" doorway. Selected works that are especially heavy, large, or difficult to handle may require the artist to participate in installation. Works can be shipped to the gallery; artists are responsible for shipping costs and must include return postage within the initial shipping package. Hand pick-up of artwork is available April 17-20, with return shipping due by April 25, 2025.

The juror is Thor J. Mednick, an art historian specializing in nineteenth-century Danish art. While the juror will select work for the show, there will be no prizes or individual honors. Juror notification is March 7. Delivery of accepted artwork is March 24-28, 8:30 am - 4:30 pm.
