About This Call
Art Jewelry Forum (AJF) announces the 2025 Linda Peshkin AJF Solo Exhibition Award, a grant established by jewelry collector Linda Peshkin to provide resources for the development and implementation of a solo exhibition of art jewelry that the artist would not otherwise have the means to undertake. The award is open to makers of all ages active in the field. Students currently enrolled in a degree program are not eligible, except PhD students; however, recent graduates are encouraged to apply. PhD students are eligible but not with exhibitions related to their thesis or graduation work.
The grant recipient will receive $20,000 in cash, paid over two years. The proposed exhibition must be realized within a two-year timeframe (until December 2027 for the 2025 edition). The proposed project should be about jewelry, loosely defined. The award proposal must include: an artist biography, a two-page description of the proposed exhibition and how the award will support the artist's work and career, a letter from the proposed gallery or venue confirming agreement to show the exhibition, a curator (may be the gallerist), a text by a writer (may be the curator) for publication at the exhibition opening, a catalog or exhibition booklet for AJF's digital archive, one letter of recommendation, a detailed budget, and a project proposal portfolio of eight to ten high-resolution images (300 dpi or higher JPG or TIFF) with detailed captions.
The deadline to apply is January 12, 2025 at midnight MST. The jury includes artist and educator Caroline Broadhead (UK), gallerist and collector Mike Holmes (US), and historian and curator Grace Lai (NZ-Aotearoa). The winner will be announced mid-March 2025, with an announcement event in Munich, Germany during Schmuck (March 12-16, 2025); the winner is expected to attend. More information and complete guidelines are available at artjewelryforum.org.
