2025 International Juried and Judged Exhibition

This is a juried watercolor painting competition open to artists 18 years and older. Entries must be original water media paintings on natural or synthetic paper or paperboard. Collage or other media may be used if aqueous medium constitutes 80% or more of the work. YUPO is permitted. Unframed paintings cannot exceed 44 inches in either dimension or be less than 10 inches in either dimension. Paintings previously exhibited in a MOWS International are ineligible. Nude representations are not allowed.

Awards include Best of Show ($3,000), 2nd Place ($2,000), 3rd Place ($1,000), and 4th Place ($750). MOWS members may enter for $50 for 1 or 2 paintings; lifetime MOWS members are exempt from entry fees. Artists may submit up to two images but only one entry per artist can be juried into the exhibition if selected. Entries are juried from digital images only; awards will be judged from original paintings. Accepted artists may not substitute another work or withhold work from the exhibit. Entries may be for sale or marked NFS; a 30% donation to MOWS and the gallery will be deducted from sales.

Submit high-quality JPEG images through ShowSubmit.com. Images must be at least 1500 pixels on the longest edge with a maximum file size of 30 MB. Crop images to show only the artwork without matting, frames, or background. Ensure correct orientation. Entry deadline is November 8, 2024. Entry fees are non-refundable and must be submitted by the deadline.
