2025 Friends of the Juror

River Oaks Square Arts Center invites clay artists to participate in the 2025 Friends of the Juror select exhibition, an invitational component of the 11th Annual Dirty South Cup Call and Competition. Guest juror Chris Pate has extended invitations to selected artists. The Arts Center is located in Alexandria, Louisiana's historic downtown cultural arts district and hosts over 15 exhibitions annually featuring contemporary visual artists.

Each artist may submit up to two clay works (functional or non-functional, traditional or non-traditional). Work must not exceed 7" x 7" x 7" and must weigh under 8 lbs if shipping two pieces. All work must be for sale with a maximum price of $250 per piece. Artists will pay a 30% commission to the Gallery on all sales. Submissions must be digital JPEG images (5MB maximum), one image per entry. The price entered in the submission system will be the exhibition price and cannot be changed.

Entry deadline via CaFE is March 15, 2025 at 11:59 p.m. MDT. Artwork delivery deadline is March 21, 2025. The exhibition runs April 10 - May 24, 2025, with an opening reception and juror remarks on April 10 from 5-7 p.m. A workshop with Chris Pate is scheduled for the week of April 10 (dates to be determined). Artists are responsible for shipping and insurance costs to the Gallery; River Oaks will pay for return shipping.
