About This Call
This exhibition serves as a showcase for the Sinclair Community College Art Department and honors the student body's artistic achievements. Works will be selected by outside juror Samuel Dunson, who will also award Best of Show, 2nd, and 3rd place honors. The juror's decision is final.
Eligibility: Entrants must have taken Art classes at Sinclair Community College during the 2024-2025 academic year. Work must be produced after February 15, 2024 and created as a direct result of an ART studio class at Sinclair (VIS/IND classes are not eligible). No work produced in courses outside Sinclair will be accepted. Students may enter no more than 5 works of art. All work must be original work of the student, including source material. Works determined to be copied from a published source will not be considered.
Media accepted: Painting (oil & acrylic), Drawing (wet & dry media), Sculpture (non-functional), Printmaking, Photography (including digital), Ceramics, and Collage. All 2-D work must be ready to hang. Works on paper must be under glass and properly wired. Paintings and wall sculptures must be wired and ready for hanging. Photography must be mounted and matted, under glass, on white archival mounting board with minimum 11" x 14" frame size and 3" white border. All submitted images should be clear, in focus, and properly photographed. Work that is poorly photographed may be rejected by the juror.
Submissions accepted February 6–20, 2025 until 11:59pm MST. Notifications sent by March 3, 2025 via email. Accepted artwork drop-off: March 15 (2:30pm-3:30pm) and March 18-19 (9am-12pm and 1-5:30pm) at Gallery Office, Room 13401. Exhibition runs March 25–April 15, 2025 in the Burnell R. Roberts Triangle Gallery and other gallery spaces in Building 13, online at www.sinclaircollegeartgalleries.org, and on Instagram and Facebook @sinclaircollegeartgalleries. Reception/Open House: March 27, 2025 (4:30pm-6pm) in Building 13 4th Floor Atrium. Artwork pick-up: April 16-17, 2025 (9am-12pm and 1-5:30pm) at Gallery Office, Room 13401. No artwork for sale may be removed until the exhibition closes. All artwork for sale or Purchase Awards must have a price indicated; NFS (Not for Sale) may be used. All sales are the direct responsibility of the artist.
