2025 Festival of the Arts Poster Competition

The North River Arts Society invites artists to submit two-dimensional artwork for the 2025 Festival of the Arts poster competition. Artwork must be originally conceived and drawn by the artist and cannot be a copy or likeness of another's work or derived from published images. Members whose work appeared on the last 5 posters (2018, 2019, 2020, 2023, 2024) are ineligible. Artwork completed in a classroom or workshop is ineligible. There is no requirement for year of artwork creation, and artwork that has appeared in previous NRAS exhibitions or won awards may be entered. Artwork, including frame, must not exceed 40 inches in width or height.

Submit high-quality JPEG image files at least 1500 pixels on the longest edge with a maximum file size of 30 MB. Crop images to show only the artwork without matting, frames, or background. Ensure images are oriented correctly and use the sRGB color profile. Entry fees are paid by credit or debit card and are non-refundable. You may edit your entry information and substitute images until the deadline of February 3, 2025. Incomplete entries will be disqualified.

The North River Arts Society reserves the right to reproduce and publish the artwork chosen for the Festival poster. Artwork ownership remains with the artist. Selected artwork will be displayed at GAR Hall with hand delivery on Saturday, February 22 (1-3pm) or Monday, February 24 (6-8pm). Shipping information will be provided to accepted artists. Artwork may be sold during the exhibit with the Society charging a 30% commission. Payment to artists will be made within 30 days of exhibition closing.
