About This Call
The Center for Photographic Art (CPA) announces the 2025 International Juried Exhibition, open to all living photographers worldwide over the age of 18 working in all still photographic media (no video). There is no theme; any subject matter is eligible. Photographs accepted for previous CPA IJE gallery exhibitions are not eligible. Forty-five juror-selected photographs will be exhibited from December 6, 2025 through January 4, 2026 in the historic gallery in Carmel, California, with an additional forty-five juror-selected images featured in an online gallery on the CPA website. An exhibition catalog of the entire gallery and online exhibition will be available for purchase.
The juror is Cig Harvey, a British-born artist and writer working in large-scale color photography and poetry. Awards total over $5,000: First Place $2,500, Second Place $1,000, Third Place $500, four awards of merit at $250 each, the Salon Jane Award for Women in Photography $1,000, and a People's Choice Award $150 plus CPA gear voted by the public.
Submission period runs July 1 through October 2, 2025, 11:59 PM Mountain Time. Entry fees: Early submission (July 1 – August 27): $45 for CPA members, $65 for non-members; Regular entry (September 5 – October 2): $55 for CPA members, $75 for non-members. All fees cover 3 images; up to 17 additional images may be submitted at $10 each for a maximum of 20 images. Images must be submitted via the CallForEntry (CaFE) online entry system at 1920 pixels (long dimension) @ 72 ppi, AdobeRGB profile, saved as 8-bit JPEG, not exceeding 5MB, with no visible names, titles, or watermarks. Artists selected for the gallery exhibition will be notified by October 21, 2025. Framed photographs must be delivered to the CPA gallery no later than November 25, 2025. Gallery artwork must be ready-to-hang, not exceeding 30 inches on the long side and weighing less than 10 pounds, glazed with acrylic Plexiglas only (no glass), with secure hanging wire attached.
