2025 Boulder County Open Studios Tour & Annual Membership

This call for entry is for both the Open Studios Artist Membership (July 1, 2025 - June 30, 2026) and the Open Studios Tour (October 4th, 5th, 11th, 12th, 18th & 19th, 2025). All applications are reviewed and scored by a panel of jurors who will determine the list of artists invited to become members. Approximately 175 artists with the highest scores will receive invitations to participate in the Open Studios Tour in October 2025. Accepting the Tour invitation is not mandatory; artists may participate in the Membership program without participating in the Tour.

A $38 non-refundable application fee is required with the online application. Artists will be notified of acceptance for Membership on or before June 1, 2025. If accepted for Membership, a Membership agreement and $85 participation fee ($75 for returning members from 2023-'24 or 2024-'25) must be submitted by June 15, 2025. The 12-month membership runs July 1, 2025 - June 30, 2026 and requires 8 hours of volunteer service by May 31, 2026, or payment of $17 per hour for unworked hours. Members receive benefits including workshops and promotional support.

Tour artists must participate during the first weekend of the Tour and have the option to participate on the second and/or third weekends. Tour participation requires both Saturday and Sunday attendance for each weekend chosen. The 2025 Tour participation fee is $197 (in addition to Membership Fee), totaling $282 combined ($272 for returning members). Tour artists must participate at an art studio location in Boulder County, display art-making equipment, and provide educational components about their artistic process. Tour artists are required to contribute 10% of gross art sales resulting from the Tour by December 31, 2025, and provide 12 hours of volunteer service by May 31, 2026.
