2025 Artspace Open Call for Proposals

Artspace's Exhibition Committee is accepting proposals for exhibitions of art in all genres for the 2025 calendar year season. The gallery is located at 2833-A Hathaway Rd., Richmond, VA 23225, in the Stratford Hills Shopping Center.

Proposals may be made for individual, group, or joint shows. Work exhibited should have been completed within the last 5 years of the exhibition date unless the proposal is for a retrospective. Full-time students are not eligible to apply for individual or joint shows. All artwork must be able to fit through the gallery door (33 inches width by 82 3/4 inches height with a diagonal of 88 inches). For video entries, artists must provide display equipment if work is selected.

The submission deadline is Tuesday, October 1, 2024, at 11:59 p.m. Mountain Time. A $35 non-refundable proposal fee is required. Fee exemptions may be requested by contacting [email protected] prior to submission. Proposals must include an art resume or CV, a description of the proposed exhibition, preferred exhibition dates from the available 2025 slots, information about any programming or workshops, and image, video, or sound files (minimum 5 samples, maximum 10 total; images 5-10, audio 0-5, video 0-5). Selected exhibitors will be notified no later than Friday, November 15, 2024, with a final announcement by the end of December 2024. Selections will be based on artistic merit, track record, quality of work samples, alignment with Artspace's mission, and contribution to the Greater Richmond arts community.
