2025 Artists of the Upstate Juried Exhibition

The 2025 Artists of the Upstate Juried Exhibition is a local art exhibition presented by Artisphere, supported by a grant from the Metropolitan Arts Council. The exhibition is open to artists 18+ living in Upstate South Carolina (Greenville, Spartanburg, Anderson, Pickens, Oconee, Greenwood, Laurens, Cherokee, Union, Abbeville counties). Entries must be original works of art completed within the last three years. The exhibition is not judged in media categories and seeks to recognize the outstanding quality and diversity of work being generated by artists of Upstate South Carolina.

A non-refundable entry fee of $45 enables each artist to enter up to two works. Submit one digital image per work in .jpg format not exceeding 5 MB, correctly oriented. The deadline to apply is April 4, 2025. Notification of acceptance will be emailed April 14, 2025. Four cash prizes will be awarded: Best in Show ($1,000), 2nd Place ($750), 3rd Place ($500), and Merit Award ($250).

Accepted work must be dropped off Thursday, May 8, 2025 from 9am–noon at the tent in the courtyard between the Marriott and City Hall (206 S Main St, Greenville, SC 29601). The exhibition runs May 9-11, 2025 outdoors in the courtyard. The Awards Ceremony is Saturday, May 10, 2025 at approximately 10am. Pick up accepted work Monday, May 12, 2025 from 9am–noon. Work will be featured on the Artisphere website and social media channels during and after Artisphere 2025. The juror is Enid Williams, an M.F.A. graduate from Kent State University whose work explores kinetic ellipses and optical complexity.
