2025 Art in the Beartooths Silent Auction

The Carbon County Arts Guild & Depot Gallery will host the 52nd Art in the Beartooths Silent Auction, a fundraiser to raise money in support of the year-round programs, scholarships, and changing exhibitions offered by the Carbon County Arts Guild. The exhibition will be on view to the public June 27 through July 14, 2025 at the Carbon County Arts Guild & Depot Gallery in Red Lodge, Montana. Bidding for items in the Silent Auction will be conducted online through Handbid. A Members and Sponsors Preview will be held Thursday, June 26 from 5-7 p.m., with online bidding opening at 6 p.m. All online bidding closes at 7 p.m. Monday, July 14, 2025.

Artists may submit up to 3 entries. Work must be original, made by the artist, and executed within the last five years. Acceptable mediums include paintings, mixed media, pastels, drawings, ceramics, fine woodwork, textiles, photographs, jewelry, and sculpture. Two-dimensional pieces cannot exceed 48" on any one side (no more than 2,804 square inches) including the frame, and three-dimensional works cannot exceed 2' by 2' by 3' or weigh over 50 pounds. Computer-generated artwork, prints (including giclee's), crafts, and work submitted to past auctions are not permitted. Image submissions must be JPEG or JPG format, 1,200 pixels or greater on the longest side, under 5 MB, and in RGB color profile.

Artists will be notified of acceptance by May 11, and all accepted art must be received at the gallery by June 15. The grand finale is Saturday, July 12, 2025, from 4-8 p.m. at Lions Park, featuring a Quick Draw and Live Auction with twenty artists creating pieces within a 2-hour time frame. The Quick Draw (4-6 p.m.) is free and open to the public. Tickets are $65 per person for the live auction and meal (6-8 p.m.). Because this is a fundraiser, artists may contribute either 50% or 100% of the auction sale price to the Carbon County Arts Guild. Artists are responsible for all delivery, return packing, insurance, and shipping costs.
