2025 Art Ability at Bryn Mawr Rehab Hospital

Art Ability is dedicated to creating community awareness of cognitive and physical disabilities, encouraging people with disabilities to reach beyond their limitations and find fulfillment and inspiration through art. The program provides positive role models for people with disabilities while increasing their access to the arts and developing new markets for artists with disabilities to gain recognition for their technical skill and artistic vision.

The annual exhibit and sale will be displayed at Bryn Mawr Rehab Hospital in Malvern, Pennsylvania, from November 9, 2025 to February 1, 2026, open to the public during the hospital's visiting hours. The event will kick off with a ticketed preview party and fundraising dinner on Saturday, November 8, 2025. Artists may submit up to 6 separate works of art for consideration through the CaFE website (callforentry.org). There is no entry fee. Each submission requires one JPEG image per work, along with title, medium, size, year completed, and price. The exhibit is displayed in a rehab hospital; nudes and dark subject matter will not be accepted. Artists may email images to [email protected] for curator feedback prior to submission.

Eligibility: Open to artists with physical, cognitive, visual, and hearing disabilities. Work must have been created after the onset of a disability or injury and within the last five years. All works must be original, for sale, and not previously exhibited in Art Ability. Acceptable media include painting, watercolor, drawing, fine printmaking, photography, mixed media, sculpture (under 25 lbs.), jewelry, fine crafts, and functional art. Size requirements: no dimension less than 12" or more than 48" including frame; each piece not to exceed 25 lbs. All flat works on paper, cardboard, or delicate surfaces must be protected with Plexiglas and framed. Canvas must be on sturdy stretcher bars. All wall art must be properly wired for hanging.
