2025 6 By Exhibit

The 6 By Exhibit is a competition for original small works of visual art in any medium. One dimension of each creation must measure 6". Artists may submit up to three pieces of original work; no prints or mass-produced work. Participants must be 18 years old and above. Entry fee is $30 for the first entry, with up to two additional entries at $15 each. Work samples should include 1-3 images.

Exhibit dates are September 26 - November 25, 2025. Entry deadline is August 11, 2025, with notification of acceptance on August 26, 2025. Accepted work must be dropped off at Cape Fear Studios on September 18, 19, 20, or 23 during open hours, or shipped to arrive on these dates with prepaid return shipping labels. All work must be tagged with a label on the back (upper right corner) including name, address, phone, email, title, medium, and price. The opening reception is Friday, September 26, 2025, 6-8pm.

Awards: 1st place $450, 2nd place $200, 3rd place $100, and two Honorable Mentions at $50 each. Jurors are Jeffery Geller and Irina Shin-Geller. Cape Fear Studios retains a 30% commission on all sales. For 2D work, one dimension must measure 6" with a maximum of 6 x 18 inches (before framing) and must be properly wired for hanging. For 3D work, at least one dimension must measure 6" with no dimension exceeding 12". Cape Fear Studios is located at 148 Maxwell Street, Fayetteville, NC 28301.
