2025-2026 Cultural Council for Palm Beach County Solo Exhibition

The Cultural Council for Palm Beach County invites Palm Beach County-based emerging or professional visual artists to apply for solo exhibitions in their gallery space. The purpose of the Solo Gallery is to provide artists with an opportunity for a solo exhibition, typically featuring a full series of work or a sampling representative of their career evolution. The Council uses a non-paid, competitive selection process to provide opportunities for artists of any means.

The solo gallery is approximately 390 square feet and includes two moveable walls. The 2025-2026 schedule will include six solo shows that run for six weeks each. Possible show dates are: October 31 - December 13, 2025; December 19, 2024 – January 31, 2026; February 6 – March 21, 2026; March 27 – May 9, 2026; May 15 – June 27, 2026; and July 3 – August 15, 2026 (subject to change). Selected artists will receive a stipend to offset exhibition expenses, a printed announcement postcard (300 copies), an opening reception for up to 50 guests, inclusion on the Council's website and in newsletters and press announcements, exhibition signage, and opportunity to be featured in the Council's social media program (total value: $3,500). The Council retains 25% of all art sales.

Artists must submit an exhibition proposal, brief bio, and up to seven images of individual artworks. Artwork may be any medium including photography, video, work on paper, sculptural installations, crafts, and textiles. Files must be jpg, not larger than 5 MB per file. Include all artwork information (Title, Date, Dimensions, Medium, Edition, Run length, Insurance Value). The artist must be the sole author and owner of the title and copyright of all artwork entered. Please list top three choices for show dates in the application. Submissions will only be accepted through the online platform CaFE. All applicants will receive email notification of their application status no later than June 27, 2025. Selected applicants will receive a designated exhibition date. Selected artists are responsible for delivery and pickup of their artwork and must sign a Memorandum of Understanding and fine art loan agreement. Artists should not have concurrent solo exhibitions within Palm Beach County during the exhibition year. Selected artists should be available for additional tour, event, and presentation opportunities. All artwork will be insured on premises if a list of artwork titles, descriptions, and values is presented prior to delivery. Artwork is not insured in transit. The Council cannot store artwork for later pickup; artwork must be picked up on designated de-installation days. Eligibility: Artists must live in Palm Beach County, Florida.
