2024 Wilmington Art Association 42nd Annual Juried Spring Art Show and Sale

The 2024 Wilmington Art Association 42nd Annual Juried Spring Art Show and Sale will be held March 30th through April 7th at the Hannah Block Community Arts Center, 120 S. Second Street in Wilmington, NC, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day. The opening award reception is Friday, March 29th, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. A judge walkabout with participating artists will take place Saturday, March 30th, from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. An art workshop with juror JJ Jiang will be held April 22nd and 23rd, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. (registration required).

Open to artists 18 years and older. Artists may submit original two-dimensional (2-D) and three-dimensional (3-D) work. Entry fee is $35 for members and $45 for non-members. Submissions must include 1-2 images. Artwork must be original in conception, composition and implementation, completed after January 1, 2022, and not previously exhibited in any WAA art show. All entries must be for sale; commission pieces are not allowed. Artwork must be delivered in person to the CAC on a designated date/time; shipped or mailed art will not be accepted.

Awards include: Best in Show $1,000; 2D and 3D categories with 1st in Class $400, 2nd in Class $250, and 3rd in Class $150; Queen's Award, People's Choice Award, Honorable Mentions, and Donor Awards. 2D artwork size limits are 48 inches width and height (not including frame), 50 inches to outside edge of frame, with 15lb maximum weight including frame. 3D artwork is displayed on tables or display columns. All jurying and judging are done anonymously. The Judge's decision on acceptance is final.
