2024 Thumb Area Artists Exhibition

The Romeo Guild of Art presents the 63rd Annual Thumb Area Artists Exhibition, held August 29-September 27, 2024 at Starkweather Arts Center, 219 N Main Street, Romeo MI 48065. A reception and awards presentation will be held Friday, September 6th from 6pm-9pm.

Eligibility: Artists must be 18 years or older and reside in Genesee, Huron, Lapeer, Macomb, Oakland, Sanilac, St. Clair, Tuscola, or Wayne counties. Maximum 2 art entries per artist. Original work completed within the last three years and not previously exhibited in the Thumb Area Artists Exhibition is eligible. Acceptable media include oil, acrylic, watercolor, pastel, drawing, graphics, and sculpture (wood, metal, etc.). Fibers, photography, and AI/computer-generated art are not acceptable. Artwork may not exceed 40" in height, width, or depth (including frame). All entries must be for sale with no price-on-request (POR) pieces. A 30% commission will be taken by Starkweather Arts Center on all artwork sales. Sold work must remain in place until the show ends.

Entry fee is $40 for non-RGA members, with a discount available for RGA members in good standing. Submit 1-10 images per piece through www.callforentry.org. Entry fees are non-refundable and payment does not guarantee acceptance. Wire hanging only on wall pieces—no saw tooth hooks or wet paintings.
