2024 Spring Members Juried Exhibition

This is a juried exhibition open to all current members of the Southeastern Pastel Society (SPS). Membership must be active prior to entry; join or renew at southeasternpastel.com/join.

Eligibility Requirements: Paintings must be created in the past 2 years and may not have been accepted into any previous SPS exhibition. Works must be in dry pastel only; oil pastels are not permitted. Mixed media is acceptable if predominantly dry pastel with the final surface being at least 80% traditional dry pastel. All artwork must be original, painted from life or from your own reference photo or imagination, not copied from other artists or published materials. Work created in a classroom, workshop, or online group scenario is not eligible. Artwork must be originally drawn and not created on top of any photographic image. Final sprays or acrylic sealants are not acceptable; pastel fixative is appropriate. All subjects and styles are eligible, from traditional to contemporary. Subject matter must be appropriate for all ages; tasteful nudes and figure studies are acceptable. Images of violence, specific political agenda, and pornography will not be accepted.

Entry Fees: $35 for up to 2 works; $10 for each additional work up to 5 works total. Entries must be submitted by February 23, 2024, and entry fees are non-refundable. Submit high-quality JPEG images at least 1920 pixels on the longest edge with a maximum file size of 30 MB. Images must show only the artwork itself without matting, frames, or background distractions, and must be oriented correctly. For paintings available for sale, the artist receives 60% of the retail price and OCAF retains 40%. Artists will be issued payment within 10 days of sale finalization.
