2024 Rocky Mountain Regional Juried Exhibition

The Rocky Mountain Regional Juried Exhibition (RMRJE) is organized by the Carbon County Arts Guild & Depot Gallery in Red Lodge, Montana. The exhibition will be on view March 1-30, 2024, with an opening reception and announcement of awards held 3-5 p.m., Saturday, March 9, 2024. The juror is Bonnie Zahn Griffith, a landscape painter specializing in oils and pastels. Monetary awards are given to 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners, as well as People's Choice, with ribbons awarded for Honorable Mentions.

Eligibility is open to residents of Montana, Wyoming, North Dakota, Colorado, New Mexico, Utah, and Idaho. Acceptable media include oil, acrylic, watercolor, pastels, mixed media, drawings, and small 3-D sculptures. Photographs, mixed media with photographs, computer-generated artwork, prints, jewelry, and crafts are not allowed. All works must be original, made by the artist, and executed within the last 5 years. 2-D artwork cannot exceed 2'x3' (excluding frame), and 3-D works cannot exceed 3'x3'x6' or weigh over 50 lbs. The entry fee is $35 for up to three entries and is non-refundable. Submissions must include 1-3 digital JPEG images at 300dpi, titled with entry number, title, and artist name.

Accepted artists will be notified by February 5. All pieces must be for sale, and the gallery receives a 40% commission on retail price. Artists are responsible for delivery, return packing, insurance, and shipping costs. Art must be delivered by February 25 and can be picked up April 4-8, 2024, or shipping arrangements can be made.
