2024 Quilts Unlimited

View Arts Center holds the annual "Quilts Unlimited" exhibition, open to all artists working in the fiber-based quilting medium. The exhibition runs October 5 - November 30, 2024, with an opening reception on October 4, 2024 from 5-7pm.

Eligibility: The exhibition is open to all quilters working in Art, Bed, or Wall quilts. Bed and Wall Quilts require stitching through all three layers; Art Quilts require stitching through three layers. Kit quilts and hand-tied quilts are not eligible. All entries require attribution given to pattern designer if applicable and personal execution created within the past 4 years. Artwork previously shown at View is not eligible. Bed Quilts must measure at least 61"x61"; Wall Quilts must measure 60"x60" or less. Art Quilts must be original designs reflecting innovative construction and design techniques, with quilt materials and techniques primarily fabric-based.

Entry: Non-refundable entry fee is $25 ($15 for View Members) for submission of one work. Artists may submit up to five images at an additional $10 per image. Submissions must be made through CaFÉ (callforentry.org). Selection notification will be sent by September 9, 2024. Selected work must be received at View no later than September 27, 2024. Although each quilter can submit five entries for judging, the selection process will only allow up to two entries in the show per quilter. All work must be for sale or valued for insurance purposes. View retains a 35% commission on all entries sold. Works will be insured by View for the duration of the exhibition and must remain on display for the entire exhibition period. Selected artwork must include a 4" sleeve sewn on the upper back and a cloth label with quilter's name and quilt title sewn to the back lower left corner. All shipping is at the expense of the artist, with a $10 handling fee for each package shipped to View. Juror of Selection: Mary Walter, a certified quilt judge and freelance curator.
