2024 Photography Award Contest: NCOA—Aging Well for All: Celebrating Our Colors and Diversity

The National Council on Aging (NCOA) is organizing a photo contest to showcase the diversity found among older adults ages 60 and over living in the United States. The contest invites photographers to share images of older adults of varying backgrounds celebrating their unique family culture, engaging in their communities, and living their own experience of aging well in America. The theme is "Aging Well for All: Celebrating Our Colors and Diversity."

Entry is free and open to U.S. citizens. Professional and amateur photographers and visual artists are eligible. Submissions must include 2-10 color photographs (no B&W or AI-generated images) in high-resolution JPEG format at 300 dpi, no larger than 5MB. Each image must be accompanied by a short statement or story. Entrants must provide their social media handles for Instagram and Facebook. File names must follow the format: FirstName-LastName_ImageTitle.jpeg.

Awards include: 1 First Prize ($1,000), 1 Second Prize ($500), 1 Special Jury Award ($500), 1 Public Vote Award ($500), 6 Awards of Merit ($250 each), and 10 Honorable Mentions ($100 each). The submission deadline is March 25, 2024 at midnight ET. Award winners will be announced April 15, 2024. The NCOA Online Gallery for public voting opens May 6, 2024. An onsite exhibition will be held at the NCOA Age+Action Conference in Washington, DC, May 6-8, 2024, and at mosaicARTs Gallery in Fairfax, VA, June-July 2024.
