2024 Outdoor Sculpture Exhibition

Indiana University East invites sculptors to participate in a 2024-2026 juried, on-loan outdoor sculpture exhibition on the Richmond, Indiana campus. Selected artists will be awarded an honorarium of $2,500 per piece and must enter into an Art Loan Agreement with IUE.

Artists may submit up to two sculptures for consideration. Each submission must include 3 images (front, back, and 1 detail), dimensions, and stated insurance value. Work samples may include 2-12 images and up to 3 videos (3-12 total samples required). The submission deadline is July 15, 2024. Jury selections will be announced by July 21, 2024. Selected sculptures must be delivered between August 12-16, 2024, and the exhibition runs from August 17, 2024 through June 30, 2026. Sculptures must be removed within one month of the exhibit's closing.

Eligibility requirements: Artists must own the rights to the artwork and it must be available for the full two-year exhibition period. Artwork must be ready to set on 8'x8' concrete pads using welded steel tabs or similar easy-install methods. Sculptures must be constructed of durable materials to withstand year-round Indiana weather. Fragile or dangerous works will not be accepted. Artists are responsible for transportation to and from the installation site; the university will supervise installation and insure the artwork for the duration of the exhibit.
