H Gallery + Studios is a contemporary art space located in Ventura, California, nestled between Malibu and Ojai. Opened in 2011, the gallery occupies a 10,000 square foot vintage 1930s building that includes a 3,000 square foot gallery, a 2,700 cubic foot suspended installation area, and 20 work studios. The gallery is dedicated to creatives and art entrepreneurs and is owned by the Dab Art Co.

This open call accepts submissions for group exhibitions and solo features. Accepted artwork includes painting, printmaking, sculpture, glass, fiber, functional, digital, photography, installation, mixed media, and new genres. Proposals may include multiple disciplines. Submissions must include at least 3 images, a biography and/or artist statement, artist website link, and links to at least 1 social media platform. Exhibition lengths vary from 6 to 12 weeks for in-gallery exhibitions and 3 to 6 months for online exclusives. All work must be original, unsold, and the artist must own the sole copyright. 2D artwork selected for exhibition must be ready to hang with professional quality frames, mats, and wiring. The gallery retains a 50% commission on all exhibition sales. Sales remittance to artists will be provided within 5-7 business days after the close of exhibition and receipt of payment.

Entry fee is $35 for 3 images, with additional images at $5 per image (maximum 20 images). An optional video consultation with the gallery director is available for $100. Entries are reviewed weekly, and early applications are encouraged. Notifications are sent via email generally within 2 weeks after the close of each calendar month. Artists are responsible for round-trip shipping and insurance of artworks. Shipments must include a prepaid UPS or FedEx return label and be shipped in a reusable container.
