2024 National Photography Competition

Soho Photo Gallery's 2024 National Photography Competition is open to all photographers 18 years old or older who are residents of the United States, excluding members of Soho Photo Gallery. All photo-based works are eligible with no limitation as to subject matter or technique, except that no A.I. generated work will be accepted. If you have been accepted into previous National Competitions, you must submit a different photograph; no previous winning photos are allowed.

Juror Lyle Rexer, an internationally recognized critic, writer, and curator, will choose approximately 40 photographs for the exhibition. Cash prizes will be awarded for first place ($400) and second place ($200). Third place and up to 4 Honorable Mentions will also be recognized and will receive gifts from sponsor Archival Methods. Photographers chosen and award winners will be notified by email on or about June 2, 2024.

Entry fee is $55.00 plus a $5.00 media fee. Submissions must include 5-12 images. Winning photographs must be suitably prepared for gallery presentation with maximum height or width (including frame) not exceeding 48 inches. All work must be printed, mounted, and framed to gallery quality standards and ready for hanging. Accepted work is due at the gallery by June 29, 2024. The exhibition runs July 3-21, 2024, with an opening reception on July 6, 2024. Work pickup is Monday, July 22, 2024. Soho Photo Gallery reserves the right to publish winning photographs on its website and social media. Copyright is retained by the photographer.
