About This Call
The City of Napa invites artists to participate in the 2024 Napa Dia de los Muertos. Artwork is open to outdoor sculpture, installation art, altars, puppetry, and art/craft vendors related to Dia de los Muertos. Artists are invited to display artworks that share their own history, culture, and traditions related to Dia de los Muertos. The event will take place Saturday, November 2nd, 2024 from 3-8pm in downtown Napa at various public plazas and parks, creating a walkable experience for all ages.
This opportunity is open to artists residing or working in AZ, CA, CO, NM, NV, OR, UT, ID, or WA. All backgrounds and cultures are encouraged to apply. Installations, altars, and artworks must be self-maintainable and safe for the public.
Submissions must include: images of work to be shown and/or examples of past work, materials to be used, a description of how your work fits the Napa Dia de los Muertos celebration, and an artist CV or list of past shows. All submissions will be reviewed by the curatorial team for compliance with requirements, overall quality, artistic impact, creativity of concept, and alignment with the mission and vision of the celebration.
