About This Call
The Tubac Center of the Arts invites current members to submit work for the Members' Juried Exhibition, juried by oil painter David Simons. All media is accepted except video. Work must have been completed within the last 24 months and cannot have been previously displayed at TCA. Giclee reproductions are not permitted; entries must be original works entirely created by the artist.
Members may enter up to three 2D or 3D artworks. Entry fee is $30 for the first entry and $3 for each additional entry. Artists must provide high-quality images (1-3 images required). The exhibition runs November 15, 2024 – January 5, 2025, with an opening reception and awards announcement on Friday, November 15, 2024. Awards include Best of Show ($300), Award of Excellence ($200), Virginia Hall Contemporary Award ($100), Ursula Suess Abstract Award ($100), Award of Merit ($100), and two Honorable Mention awards ($50 each). The Best of Show winner receives a solo exhibit in the Studio Gallery from January 10 – February 23, 2025.
All artwork must arrive ready for professional display. If framed, work must be suitably matted in white, black, or neutral colors, simply framed, and firmly wired with no sawtooth hangers. All work must be for sale; TCA retains a 40% commission. Artists are responsible for shipping to and from TCA and must provide a prepaid shipping label for return of unsold work. Hand-delivered art is due Monday, November 11, 2024; shipped art must arrive by Monday, November 4-11, 2024. Art must be picked up by Monday, January 6, 2025.
