2024 Los Muros on Main: Midvale City Mural Festival

The Midvale City RDA is revitalizing Midvale's Historic Main Street by transforming it into an arts, culture, and food district. Los Muros on Main: Midvale City Mural Festival is a vital part of this revitalization process, inviting artists, vendors, and visitors to activate the street.

This call is open to mural artists and artist teams ages 18 and older with prior mural painting experience. Artists agree to paint their murals between May 31 and June 8, 2024, with painting required to begin no later than Monday, June 3, 2024, and be completed by Saturday, June 8, 2024. Artists (or a team member) are expected to attend the festival to finish the mural and engage with attendees. The RDA will award a stipend of up to $4,000 to each commissioned mural artist or team of US citizens and up to $4,000 in reimbursement for non-US citizens, with amounts dependent on wall size. Additional support includes covered lift costs, per diem for up to 6 nights and 7 days for artists traveling from outside the Wasatch Front, and travel funds for artists from within the US, Canada, and Mexico traveling from outside Utah's Wasatch Front. Applicants must submit 5-10 images of prior work. The entry deadline is April 12, 2024 at 11:59 p.m. MDT.
