About This Call

The City of Auburn is seeking applications for art vendors for the 2024 Postmark Center for the Arts Holiday Market, taking place on November 16, 2024. This Holiday Market will be a small, cozy experience for holiday shoppers interested in unique, handmade arts by local creators. Selected artists will receive one 24" x 60" table to display a selection of their work for sale at the Postmark Center for the Arts, 20 Auburn Ave, Auburn, WA 98002. Set-up is 9:30am–11am, the event runs 11am–3pm, and take-down is 3pm–4pm.

Eligibility is limited to Washington State artists and craftspeople making unique, handcrafted, and accessibly priced work. Artists and artist groups working in diverse mediums are encouraged to apply, including printmaking, painting, drawing, mixed media, textiles, mosaic, glass, recycled materials, photography, calligraphy, collage, fiber art, ceramics, jewelry, and metal sculptures. Applications will be reviewed by a panel of Auburn Arts Commissioners, City of Auburn arts staff, local WA artists, and professionals in the field based on locality, artistic excellence, innovation and variety, and inventory.

Application deadline is August 15, 2024 at 11:59 p.m. MDT. The $5 application fee is required. If accepted, artists must pay a $35 table fee. Applicants must be at least 18 years old and submit 3–10 images of work including media and retail prices, a 1–2 sentence bio or statement about their artwork, and any websites or social media handles for promotion. Everything sold at the booth must be handmade by the artist/creator/applicant. The table has access to WiFi and restrooms, limited access to running water via café sinks, and limited electricity. Free parking is available streetside in the downtown area, in parking lots behind the Postmark Center for the Arts, and in transit center parking garages a few blocks away.
