2024 Great Northern Art Explosion

AuSable Artisan Village presents the annual international art exhibition 2024 Great Northern Art Explosion, a juried show held at AuSable Artisan Village Performing Arts Center in downtown Grayling, Michigan. The exhibition offers $8,000 in awards and seeks artworks from artists in all styles and mediums with no specific theme.

Eligibility: Open to all artists 18 years or older. All artwork must be original in concept and execution. Artists in all media are encouraged to apply, including oils, acrylic, watercolor, photography, mixed media, ceramics, wood, metal, jewelry, sculpture, and fabric. Maximum artwork size is 48 inches in width and 108 inches in height. Work must have been completed in the last two years and not previously shown in any Great Northern Art Explosion exhibit.

Submission Requirements: Submit 1-3 images per entry with a non-refundable entry fee of $40. Entry deadline is July 21, 2024 at midnight EDT. Notification of acceptance will be sent July 31, 2024. Artists are responsible for transporting work to the exhibition space between August 16-19, 2024 (10 a.m. to 5 p.m.), or may ship work at their own expense and risk. The members and artists only reception is August 23, 2024 at 6 p.m. The awards ceremony is September 8, 2024 at 2 p.m. Artwork pickup is available September 8-18, 2024 during normal business hours.

Awards: Grand Prize $2,500, Second Place $1,000, Third Place $500 (Juror Awards); Grand Prize $2,500, Second Place $1,000, Third Place $500 (People's Choice Awards). No artwork will receive more than one award.
