2024 Extreme Pressure 2nd Biennial of American Prints

The 2024 Extreme Pressure 2nd Biennial of American Prints is a competitive national exhibition organized by the Webber Gallery of the College of Central Florida. Open to all forms of traditional printmaking, the exhibition celebrates and examines contemporary printmaking by artists throughout the United States. The exhibition will be on view from August 5 to September 12, 2024, with a reception and awards announcement on August 22 from 5-7pm.

Eligibility: North American artists residing in the United States, 18 years and older. Work must have been completed within the last four years. Original works in all printmaking media are eligible, including monoprint, monotype, screen print, etching, engraving, drypoint, photopolymer, photogravure, collagraph, lithography, woodcut, and linocut. Photographs, offset reproductions, or reproductions of artwork originally produced in another medium will not be considered. Submissions must utilize traditional hand-printed media as their primary technique but may include digital output elements.

Submission Requirements: Entry fee is $10 per entry for up to three images. Submit JPEG files only, minimum 1920 pixels on the longer side, 72 ppi/dpi resolution, maximum 5 MB file size. Juror Katherine Brimberry will select works. Over $3,000 is available in awards: First Prize $500, Second Prize $300, Third Prize $100, and two Honorable Mentions at $50 each. Purchase awards totaling a minimum of $2,500 will be made through local organizations with some works entering the permanent collections of the College of Central Florida.

Shipped work must be framed with plexiglas (no glass permitted) and securely wired or have D-rings. Artwork must arrive by July 18, 2024. A 10% commission will be charged on all sales. High resolution image files and artist statements of accepted works are due July 4. Notifications will be emailed June 24.
