2024 Evendale Juried Photo Exhibit - FOTOFOCUS

The Evendale Cultural Arts Center invites photographers to submit work for the 2024 Evendale Juried Photography Exhibition, part of the 2024 FotoFocus Biennial. The exhibition theme is "Behind the Lens: Unveiling the Unseen Narratives," aligning with the Biennial's focus on "backstories"—narratives not evident at first glance that provide context for what happened previously or out of view. Artists are challenged to explore hidden stories, untold histories, moments just outside the frame, or the untapped depths of a series.

Eligibility is open to professional and amateur photographers 18 years or older who reside within a 50-mile radius of Evendale. A student category is available for those under 18 and currently enrolled in school. Submissions must include up to 5 original photographs in any photographic medium (color, black and white, or experimental). Content must be appropriate for all ages. The entry fee is $10 per entry (non-refundable). Students and Evendale residents receive free entry; students should use coupon code STUDENT, and Evendale residents must email [email protected] for a coupon code.

Selected photographs will be reproduced on weather-resistant substrates and displayed outdoors throughout the Village of Evendale municipal complex from October 7, 2024 through January 7, 2025. The opening reception is October 13, 2024, 1-4 PM, with an awards ceremony at 2 PM. Awards include Best in Show ($350 and solo exhibition), 2nd Place ($175), 3rd Place ($100), Honorable Mentions ($50), and student division prizes. The submission deadline is September 6, 2024.
