2024 AWA Annual Online Juried Show

The 2024 AWA Annual Online Juried Show is open to all AWA Members in good standing. Applications may be submitted from February 26 through April 8, 2024, with finalists announced by April 30.

Accepted entries include representational or abstract work in drawing, painting, printmaking, mixed media, and sculpture. Work must be original; 2D works must have been completed within the last two years, with no required timeframe for 3D works. Works do not have to be for sale, and sold works may be submitted by entering NFS in the entry form. All work entered must not have been accepted for a previous AWA national juried museum competition or online juried show. Acceptable mediums for sculpture include cast metal, fabricated metal, stone, glass, wood, and fired permanent mediums such as terra cotta, stoneware, porcelain, and earthenware. Acceptable mediums for painting include oil, acrylic, water media, pastel, egg tempera, encaustic, and mixed mediums. Acceptable mediums for drawing include conte crayon, colored pencil, graphite, pen & ink, scratchboard, and original hand-pulled prints. Not acceptable mediums include craft, jewelry, fiber, fabric, photography, video, digital prints including giclee, or any work containing computer-generated elements. Mixed media is acceptable using the above materials. Maximum entries are three, with a maximum of one piece of artwork per accepted artist juried into the online show.

Awards include: Grand Prize Overall $2,000; Second Prize Overall $1,500; Third Prize Overall $1,000; Kathleen J. Smith Humanity in Art Award $500; The Power of the Feminine Award $500; Christine Drewyer Award of Distinction $300; four First Prize Awards by AWA Membership Category $500 each; six Outstanding Achievement Awards (Abstract, Still Life, Landscape/Cityscape, Figurative, Animals, and Sculpture) $250 each; six Awards of Merit $100 each; and ad, event, and subscription awards from media partners. Accepted images will be displayed on the AWA website, Facebook, Instagram, and other social and print media. Artists retain copyright to their images.
