2024 Arizona Aqueous XXXVIII

A national juried exhibition of water-based pigments on paper. Water-based pigments on paper must constitute the major portion of the work. Eligible entries include paper constructions, paper sculpture, paper collage, cut paper, mobiles, two or three-dimensional wall pieces, and installations. Artists are urged to enter work that is innovative in concept and approach, whether representational or abstract. Work must have been completed within the last 24 months and cannot have been previously displayed at TCA. All work must be the original creation of the artist; giclee reproductions are not permitted.

Juror: Tracy Lynn Ross, a watercolor painter, teacher, and current VP of Shows in the Southern Arizona Watercolor Guild. She is a Signature Artist in the guild and an award-winning artist in the Western Federation of Watercolor Society.

Awards: Best of Show ($1,000), Juror's Award ($500), Award of Excellence ($250), Award of Merit ($100), and two Honorable Mentions ($75 each). Exhibition dates: January 5 - February 25, 2024. Opening reception: Friday, January 5, 2024, 5-7pm. Entry fee: $40 ($36 with TCA Member discount). Media fee: $5 per additional entry image up to 4 entries ($3 with member discount). Submit 1-4 digital images in jpg format only. All artwork must arrive ready to hang and suitably matted and framed. All work must be for sale; TCA retains a 40% commission. Artists are responsible for shipping to and from TCA. Unsold work will be shipped back after the close of the exhibition on February 25, 2024. Artists must provide a prepaid shipping label for return of artwork. Do not ship via USPS; use FedEx, UPS, or DHL. Ship to: Tubac Center of the Arts - Attn: AZ Aqueous, 9 Plaza Road, Tubac, AZ 85646.
