2024 Annual Juried Exhibition

The Suffolk Art League's Annual Juried Exhibition will be held at the Suffolk Art Gallery, 118 Bosley Ave., Suffolk, VA from October 26 - December 6, 2024. This exhibit is open to artists working in all mediums who are over age 16 and currently live in Virginia, North Carolina, Maryland, or Washington, D.C. Submitted artworks must not have been previously exhibited at the Suffolk Art Gallery and should have been completed within the last two years.

Artists may enter up to three artworks in any medium. Entry fee is $25 for current Suffolk Art League members or $55 for non-members (which includes an individual membership). All fees are non-refundable. Applications must be submitted by September 12 at midnight. Artists will be notified of acceptance by Friday, September 27. Accepted artwork must be delivered to the gallery on Saturday, October 19 (10 a.m. - 2 p.m.) or Sunday, October 20 (1:30 - 4:30 p.m.), or shipped to arrive no later than Saturday, October 19 at 5:00 p.m. Two-dimensional artwork must be framed and wired for hanging or finished gallery wrap. Pedestals will be provided for three-dimensional works. No video or audio work will be accepted. Full-time students may receive a $5 discount.

Artwork may be for sale with the Suffolk Art League retaining a 30% consignment on all works sold. The juror is Elsabe' J. Dixon, past Executive Director of the Danville Museum of Fine Arts and History. Awards include $500 First Place with a one-person show opportunity at the Suffolk Art Gallery in 2025, $300 Second Place, $200 Third Place, and multiple memorial awards ranging from $25 to $200. Exhibited artwork must be picked up on Saturday, December 7 (10 a.m. - 2 p.m.) or Tuesday, December 10 (10 a.m. - 5 p.m.). Artwork not picked up within 30 days will become the sole property of the Suffolk Art League.
