2023 Wilmington Art Association 41st Annual Juried Spring Art Show and Sale

The 2023 Wilmington Art Association 41st Annual Juried Spring Art Show and Sale will be held April 8-16 at the Hannah Block Community Arts Center, 120 S Second Street in Wilmington, NC, from 10am-5pm daily. An opening award reception will be held 6-9pm Friday, April 7th. This event takes place during the North Carolina Azalea Festival.

Open to artists 18 years and older. Artists may submit original two-dimensional (2D) and three-dimensional (3D) work. Submit 2 images of original artwork completed after January 1, 2020. Entry fee is $35. Artwork must be solely the creation of the artist and have not been previously exhibited in any WAA art show. No kits, copies, collaborative works, workshop pieces, replicas, giclee reproductions, furniture, jewelry, or artwork with erotic or violent themes will be accepted. All entries must be for sale; commission pieces are not allowed. Artwork must remain in the show until the designated pickup time. Artist or designee must deliver artwork to the CAC on the designated date/time; shipped or mailed art will not be accepted.

Awards include Best in Show ($1,000), 2D and 3D categories with 1st ($400), 2nd ($250), and 3rd ($150) place awards, plus Queen's Award, People's Choice Award, Honorable Mentions, Memorial Awards, and Donor Awards. Juror is Ginny Kelly Lassiter. All jurying and judging are done anonymously. The WAA maintains rights to use photographs of artwork and the event for future marketing or promotional materials. Artists should register for a volunteer time slot during the show.
