About This Call
This contest is open to all K-12 students in Virginia. Artists must create a creative rendering of native spring wildflowers found in Shenandoah National Park, using species from the provided Native Wildflower Checklist. The first 250 applications will be accepted.
Entries must be on flat media such as acrylic, watercolor, charcoal, pencil, or fabric. Artwork should not be matted, mounted, or framed. Photographs, computer-generated, or computer-enhanced artwork will not be accepted. Each artist may submit only one piece. Works will be judged on original design and artistic composition, with judges selecting top entries from each grade level. One top entry will be selected as "Best in Show" and asked to submit a high-resolution image for an award video.
