2023 NCOA Photography Award Contest—Aging Well for All

The National Council on Aging (NCOA) invites photographers and visual artists to submit work celebrating the strength and wisdom of older women. The theme is "Aging Well for All—Celebrating the Strength and Wisdom of Women." Submissions should share stories of older women who continue to embrace their lives and contribute to their families and communities as they age. This juried exhibition aims to foster dialogue and drive innovation in the photographic arts toward the goal of aging well for all.

Awards include: 1 First Prize ($1,000), 1 Second Prize ($500), 1 Invited Jury Award ($500), 1 Public Vote Award ($500), 6 Awards of Merit ($250 each), and 10 Honorable Mentions ($100 each). Entry is free. Applicants must submit 2-10 images in JPEG format at 300 dpi. All images must be titled; "untitled" is not permitted. File names should contain only the artist's first name, last name, and image title.

Eligibility is open to U.S. citizens only. Professional and amateur photographers/visual artists may apply. The submission deadline is April 24, 2023 at 11:59 p.m. MDT. Award winners will be announced May 12, 2023. The NCOA Virtual Gallery opens June 12, 2023, with an onsite exhibition at mosaicARTs Gallery from June 16 to July 16, 2023. Awards will be mailed to winners by June 30, 2023.
